Lt. Cdr. Vikram Naik (Retd.) ex – Indian Navy Officer with Specialisation in Deep Sea Diving established the Ocean Centre in 1990 primarily as Commercial Diving Company. Diving assignments were carried out for harbour, Nuclear Power Corporation, bridges, dams, ships, sub-sea pipelines, offshore Oil & Gas platforms.

Philanthropy
Our philosophy is that organisation’s economic strength , collective intellectual resources and experiences should be passed on for well being of the society in some form. For this we identified “Health - Knowledge – Culture” (HKC) as areas of our Philanthropic interests. An independent division called " Naik Philanthropic Centre (NPC) and ODC Foundation (NGO) are established to pursue these interests.
